Download Agent Runner Program
Download the Agent Runner program (`sku-agent-runner.mjs`, a single Node.js 20+ file with no dependencies) to the machine that will run it.
Send Agent Runner Heartbeat
Report that the runner is alive and which job templates it can handle. Call it on start-up and periodically (any authenticated call also marks the runner as seen; a runner counts as online for 90 seconds).
Claim Next Agent Job
Claim the next queued job for one of the templates this runner advertised (see Send Agent Runner Heartbeat). The claim is atomic - two runners never receive the same job - and starts a 60-second lease that progress reports renew. If the lease lapses the job goes back to the queue; after 3 attempts it fails.
Report Agent Job Progress
Report progress on a claimed job. Renews the job's lease and the step's heartbeat, marks the job running, and shows the message on the run.
Complete Agent Job
Finish a claimed job successfully. The waiting run resumes with the result on the step's success output.
Fail Agent Job
Report that a claimed job could not be done.
