Report Agent Job Progress
POST/api/automation/runner/jobs/:job/progress
Report progress on a claimed job. Renews the job's lease and the step's heartbeat, marks the job running, and shows the message on the run.
Called by your own agent or script with the token SKU issued for this runner or callback, sent as Authorization: Bearer <token> — not with a Personal Access Token or a session.
Authenticate with the runner token as Authorization: Bearer <runner token> (not a Personal Access Token).

Returns 202 when accepted. 404 when the job does not exist or belongs to another runner, 409 when the job is no longer this runner's to work (finished, expired or canceled), 422 for validation errors.

Unauthenticated — the bearer token is missing, revoked, expired, or malformed. Never retry automatically; fix the credential. See the Errors guide.
Forbidden — the token lacks a required scope, the endpoint is not available to API tokens, or the user behind the token lacks the permission. A human must adjust the token scopes or user permissions; do not retry.
