Get Customer Tax Exemption Coverage
GET/api/customers/:customer/tax-exemption-coverage
The customer's resale / exemption certificate (tax_exempt, tax_exemption_reference, tax_exemption_state, tax_exemption_expires_on) measured against every state where the tenant is registered to collect sales tax. Each state gets a status: valid (exempt there), expired, missing (marked exempt with no certificate number), wrong_state (a single-state certificate from another state), or taxable (not marked exempt). has_warning is true when any registered state is expired, missing or wrong_state. configured is false (and states empty) while the tenant has no registrations.
customers:readGrant this scope to your token under Settings → Developer → Personal Access Tokens.

Response Headers
Unauthenticated — the bearer token is missing, revoked, expired, or malformed. Never retry automatically; fix the credential. See the Errors guide.
Forbidden — the token lacks a required scope, the endpoint is not available to API tokens, or the user behind the token lacks the permission. A human must adjust the token scopes or user permissions; do not retry.
Not found — no record with the given identifier (or the route does not exist). Verify the ID before retrying.
Rate limited — platform limit is 1,000 requests/min; individual tokens may carry lower limits. Honor the Retry-After header before retrying. See the Rate Limits guide.
