List Backorders

GET

/api/v2/inventory-allocations/backorders

Returns a paginated backorder queue showing allocations that are awaiting stock.

Required scope: orders:read

Grant this scope to your token under Settings → Developer → Personal Access Tokens.

Supports GET and POST — POST can be used to send large filter payloads in the request body.

Sort options: id, priority, quantity, created_at, updated_at, backorder_date, backordered_quantity, released_quantity, sku, product_name, supplier, order_date, sales_order_number, eta. Default: priority.

Each backorder row also carries in_transit_stock (inbound stock in motion across warehouses), alongside other_warehouse_stock. Both are populated in the CSV/XLSX export.

Each row also carries available_at_warehouse — unclaimed stock in the backorder's own warehouse, named by warehouse. A value above zero means the backorder can be released now; filter to just those rows with filter[releasable_now.is]=true. This is distinct from other_warehouse_stock, which would require the line to be re-routed first.
