Update BILL Instance Settings
PATCH/api/billcom/instances/:instance/settings
Update the editable settings of a BILL.com connection and return the updated instance.
This endpoint currently requires session authentication; Personal Access Token scope support is in progress.
Body fields (both required):
auto_match_vendors(boolean) — when vendors sync from BILL, link each BILL vendor to the active supplier with the same name.create_payments_at_status(string) — the BILL payment status at which a payment is recorded against the linked bill:PROCESSED(payer account debited, default),SENT(funds sent to the vendor) orCLEARED(vendor received the funds). Earlier statuses are mirrored only. The change applies to payments processed from now on; payments already recorded are kept.
Returns 404 when the instance does not exist and 422 when a field is missing or invalid.
Authentication: Requires Bearer token and the integrations.update permission.

Unauthenticated — the bearer token is missing, revoked, expired, or malformed. Never retry automatically; fix the credential. See the Errors guide.
Forbidden — the token lacks a required scope, the endpoint is not available to API tokens, or the user behind the token lacks the permission. A human must adjust the token scopes or user permissions; do not retry.
Not found — no record with the given identifier (or the route does not exist). Verify the ID before retrying.
